I've had the nickname P'nosha since birth. I don't really know what it means or why it was bestowed upon me. All I know is that my older cousins have rarely ever called me by my real name. I love it, too. It's been part of my identity for as long as I can remember. But it's also something I've decided to earn.
I just finished work on a novel manuscript, The Lights in the Sky. It's the story of Sammy Gorman, a 17-year-old football player who begins to have weird dreams about being abducted by aliens. He isn't sure if the dreams are actually happening; his obsession to find the truth begins to haunt his life. With this blog, I want to document my struggles to achieve my own dream: writing for a living. It won't all be about this particular project, though. There are other ideas I hope to pursue and I'll keep you posted along the way. I'll try to keep this page updated on the things that influence my projects, as well, including movies, music, photos, and stories from my own life.
I want to earn my nickname. I know how I want to achieve it. If you're interested, you can keep up with every rejection letter, every glimmer of hope, and every light at the end of every tunnel. If you're not...then you really just wasted a significant portion of your own time.
